Putting together a jigsaw puzzle is about memory and spatial perception and pattern recognition.
You sort things by colour, find the corners, assemble the edges, put together the obvious clusters, then fill in the gaps.

Tetris

Tetris is one of the most popular video games ever created. It involves falling tile-like tetrominoes that a player must quickly maneuver so they fit into space at the bottom of the screen.
Players prosper when a game challenges them right at the edge of their abilities. If a game is initially too difficult the player gets frustrated.
This version allows the player to build up skill by stopping the falling tiles and to manually move and rotate the pattern and develop a strategy.
When ready, the player starts the falling tiles again - Auto Drop On/Off
